About Us

Edinburgh Preserves was set up by Sandy Herd in 1995 with a simple idea to produce a family recipe for Tomato Chutney. Since then, we have developed an award winning range of Preserves, innovative Hampers & Gifts, Liqueurs & Spirits.
We are a small family business based in East Lothian. Sandy runs the business with the help of his family, Christine in the Office, Jackie in production, Graeme producing the beautiful artwork and Bob in the Distillery.
Throughout the year we work together with some Social Enterprises, throughout the UK, to pack our Hampers & Gifts.
Now we have reached 2022 we continue to innovate with new ideas and continue to buy goods and services which are derived from natural and sustainable sources and try to manufacture and deliver in an environmentally responsible way. Focus this year has turned to reducing any plastic packaging & our Carbon footprint.
